Hi,
I have been in India for H1B / H4 Visa in 2006. I was stopped for some Security clearance for nearly 3 Months.
My Visa said "Security Clearance Recieved" ( a bad black stamp on your face)
I am planning to visit India again in Jan 2009. I am still waiting for Advance Parole docs. If I don't get it, I am planning to travel and get my H1B/H4 stamped to re-enter USA( I have a valid h1B till 2011) .
So my question :
Is there is a chance to get struck again on Security clearance basis ?
In other words, "How long is the security clearance certificate (oh ya, it is like a major award for you these days) valid?" ..
I heard something about PIMS? Do I have that risk too? My extension got approved in Sept 2008.
I am hoping I will NOT be asked for security clearance again . IF there is a risk, I will avoid going for it and wait for my Advance Parole docs.
Thanks
Ibrahim
