You have been out of status and gathered so much time. Your W2 and wages as per LCA are not even close. You need to get yourself straight by complaining against the employer as H1b requires you to be paid on bench as per the law. Look up the WH4 form and complain.
As far as H4 goes, their visa is doubtful and if properly scrutinized, it could even result in your H1b getting revoked due to the illegality of what you and your employer are doing.
