221g with option of Current passport

I attended the interview today and gave all answers to the VO questions. She was about to give me blue slip for company details but i was prepared for it and gave it off all my emplyers docs. But still the VO gave me a blue slip circling on CURRENT PASSPORT. the reply i got from VO was that after verification, we will get back to you over the phone and later get us your passport.

Has anyone faced a similar issue like this ?
What is the outcome of this verification ?
