  • Editing a submittted VISA Application

    Hi,

I am leaving to India on Dec 30th 2008 for vacation and I need to go for stamping before heading back.

I have applied for LCA Amendment in Oct 08 and waiting for that to be approved and received. I may receive it during second week of Dec 08.

For booking VISA appointment at Chennai, the application is asking for EAC number that is present in I-797A. I have I-797 as part of H1 approved petition. My Employer is saying that when the LCA amendment is approved, I may receive a different EAC number. He is asking me to fill up the web application (DS-156 and 157) and submit and reserve an appointment at Consulate.

Once I receive the updated LCA, open the submitted form and edit the EAC number and re-submit it once again. However I am not sure if I can edit the application once I submit it without changing appointment dates. Can experts help?

    Thanks

    Vishal

Just book with what you have and submit both I797s during the interview if you get another one. It is a non issue as far as I see.

Is the I129 being amended or just the LCA?

        Location Change

        Thanks TXH1B.

Since I had changed the work location to a different city, I assume the change is only for that. I do not think that I-129 is being changed.

Could you let me know the concern either way?

        Thanks

        Vishal

No issues. Just follow the previously mentioned approach.
