Is stamping Req -> H1 transfered and then passport renewed

I am working in USA on H1 Visa.
I came here on H1 and recently changed my employer and transfered the H1.

After the H1 transfer I renewed my passport in USA since it was about to expire.

My stamped visa from old employer is valid till sep 2009 . And new petition has validity till Apr 2011.

I am planning to visit India for a short trip in jan 2009.

Do I have to do the stamping on the new passport ? i.e. I can reenter US on old VISA , H1 transfered with Valid new I 797 and no VISA stamped on new passport.

if yes what all additional supporting documents are required to show at the port of entry ?

No new stamping needed.
