I-539 Documents for Extension of Dependent Visa

Can someone please post what documents are required along with I-539 form for E3 Dependent visa extension with USCIS?

I already have I-797 approval notice from USCIS (after filing I-129).

The big question I have is whether the principal E3 applicant (or H1 since I-539 for spouse visa extension is the same for almost all visa categories) needs to fill out Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support) if spouse is dependent on principal applicant i.e. not working in US?

Can someone please calrify this?

Thanks for the reply. I also thought it is not required for spouse visa extension and is mainly for B visas. But I wanted to clarify this as I am also not entirely sure. Can someone with some knowledge please post. Thank you.

Just follow the same process as any other dependent visa person does (like H1b for H4 in terms of affidavit) after ensuring the form I-539 is the right one to use for your dependent.

I need do do some reading on E3 visas as there are so many posts on it off late.

p.s: Sending an affidavit of support does not hurt while not sending one could. So, make your choice.

Thanks for that reply. So if there is no harm then I guess, I will fill it up and get it notarized to send along with I-539.
