Got stamping But lost job can i enter USA

Hi guys

am in a tricky situation i came on vacation to india, and went for visa stamping (h1b extension) in the mean while i got laid of in the usa.

1. can i enter USA with the current visa and I797 (my h1b hasnt been cancelled by my employer) will i have problems at the port of entry

2. can i transfer my H1b being in india itself .
