transfer from L1 to H1 Help

Hi

I am currently in US on L1 , but i am also having a H1 B petition which was approved in sep 2006.

I have never used my H1B,but now I am planning to shift to H1 status at the same time i am planning to change my employer, i only have the EAD no and no documents apart from that
is it possible to change my employer and change my status from L1 to H1.

I am assuming you mean EAC instead of EAD in your post. You can change to another employer provided you are sure that EAC# belongs to you. Only after USCIS approves the H1b COS you can begin working for H1b employer. Once COS is approved, you can no longer work for L1 employer and must work for H1b employer. It is illegal to continue work for L1 employer.
