Passport Expiring in Mar/2011 and H1 validity till Sep/2011

Hello Members,

My passport is going to expire in Mar/2011 and my H1B validity is till Sep/2011.I still didnt attend my H1B stamping ,will be attending in May 2009 in India.Will the VO ask me to renew my passsport and come for the stamping ?Coz the passport renewal can be done only one year before the expiry date.Pls let me know what should/could/would be done in the case.
