H4 to H1B Status

My wife recently got her h1b and her status got changed from H4 to H1B. Can her H4 status be revoked if in case her visa is denied in any of the consulate in Canada/Mexico? (we intend to get the visa done before her next visit to India as it is difficult to get a visa in Chennai).

---- The H1 is alrready approved and the H4 status is no longer valid. There is no revocation or any such thing as the status has already changed.

---- However, if for any reason, the H1 visa is heldup or not issued in Canada/Mexico, then you may have to act accordingly based on the decision by the VO at that location. This is unpredictable and it is your choice.

---- Your wife may not be permitted to enter the US with her H4 as it is not valid and moreover since your wife has applied for the H1 visa, the system will show the current status at the POE
