I-94 confusion for H1B
My friend's H1 was expiring Oct 2008. But he had to go to India in Aug 2008. So he filed for an extension before he left and got his papers in Sep '08 when he was in India.When he reentered U.S in early Oct, his I-94 was stamped till end of Oct 2008. But he later saw in his home mail that he had already got another new I-94 valid till Nov 2009.
The questions he has is , will his I-94(valid till Oct end 2008) that was given at port of entry overwrite the I-94(valid till Nov 2009) that was mailed to him.
If yes what can he do to get this right till Nov 2009.
