  • H1B Visa Stamping

    Hi,

I have a question about F1-OPT-H1B stamping. I came to US on F1 visa and I got my H1B approved for the year 2008. Until then, I was on OPT since May 2007. My employer during OPT period is different from my current employer who sponsored my H1B. The old employer's company is blacklisted for some reason. I was with him until July 2007 and shifted to my current employer where my H1B was sponsored. I have a whole year of pay stubs from both my current and previous employer. Is it safe to go for H1B visa stamping in Canada or India(home country) as the previous company is blacklisted? My recent W2 forms are from the old employer and I still dont have the new W2 forms from the new employer. Is it good to wait for the new W2 forms befor I go for stamping? please advise. I have a decent job and I was with the client for over a year now.

As long as you were never out of status (got paid for all the time worked), you can go to visa stamping in India. Should not be any problem.
