  • Visa stamping after transfer

    Hi,

I have transfered my Visa to a new company 6 months back. In my passport, previous employer's visa expiry date is on Dec-2009. I am planing to go to India. Should I want to for stamping? What will happen if my old employer would have canceled my Visa? Thanks!

--Visa is valid to re-enter until its expiry. Make sure to carry approval papers from a new employer.

What will happen if my old employer would have canceled my Visa?

---Employer can cancel/revoke petition not visa. Both are different.
revoking petition wont affect you anyways.

That was very useful. One more quick question....

I have all my documents with me (recent paystubs, W2...). For some reason if US consulate is putting it on hold...Can I use my previous Visa to come back as if I didn't go for stamping at all. Or will they cancel the previous visa?

One of the reason could be "my previous employer didn't pay for my first week in US". Would it create problem for me in stamping? Thanks!
