Is change in Job eligible for change in GC category

Hi,
My current job will permit my GC to be done in EB3. If I get a promotion in the current job can I get a change in the category to EB2?
If I move to another group in the same company but to a higher position that falls in EB2 category then can I get a change to EB2 or the process should be started again?

The process should start all over again with any change in position or company.

If I get promotion before my GC process is started then it should be done in EB2 right(assuming that it falls in EB2)?

Yes. As a suggestion, a labor is filed for future employment. If you are foreseeing a promotion in the horizon, they should apply for the future position that your current one as GC is for future employment.

Many companies, do not allow promotions once labor is filed. So, watch it!
