thanks for taking out time to answer my question.
I am on H1B since Oct 2008. For the first 3 months I was put on bench on my employer as he had no project and am working on a short project right now which will give me 3/4 paystubs..I would like to change my status to H4 as soon as I am done with this project.
Should I file for COS with these paystubs or would it be more advisable to leave the country and come back on fresh H4?
Would I be asked to produce my H1 paystubs at the consulate (at my home country) at the time of visa appointment?
If they do how can I explain the gap of 3 months?
If I get H4 approved now and some time down the line if I get a job then can I change back to H1 without being subject to the cap?
What documents do I need to submit at the time of COS from H4 to H1?
Do I need to provide the paystubs then also?
Thanks.
