H1B restamping @ chennai - Help needed

Hi,

I got my H1 extension in Sep 2008. As of now I dont a valid visa (with a valid H1 petition).
I'm planning to go India and get my H1B stamped at chennai consulate for restamping.

can some one post their experiences and tell me the situation at chennai consulate for restamping.

Note: I was never on bench and my employer has good profile as far as I know.

Can some one please tell me whats the situation at chennai consulate in recent developments in US discouraging alien workers in US companies.

Whatever be the situation in any consulate, you can be assured if you are confident you were in status and legal all the time and continue to do so.
