Searching for job on B1/B2 and doing H1 transfer

Hi,

I am have H1 visa from one company right now in my passport but I in my home currently and not working for them.

I also have B1/B2.

Can i travel to US using B1/B2 to search for a new employer by doing an H1 transfer.

If yes, then can I change my status while in US from B1/B2 to H1 or I need to re-enter US with H1.

You will have to declare at PoE that you are entering to find a job. Or the COS will very difficult.

Status changes from B1/B2 are risky and not recommended. Entering with an intent to change status on B1/B2 is frowned upon by immigration.
