  • Withdrawing H1B visa stamping application from US embassy

    Hello, Please help.
I have applied for H1B stamping from Chennai and got 221g. Submitted docs and waiting. But now employer wants to delay the hiring because of economy and wants to withdraw my stamping application so that I can reappear next year if there is a job for me. My question is how do I request embassy to withdraw my application? Will I be able to reapply next year ?

An appropriate answer will be very helpful.

    Thanks
    Sam

Just let it go through and that way you don't have to reappear next year if you still have a job in the U.S. The visa is good for any employer you have an approved H1 with.
    Check out H1 FAQs first!

--- get visa stamp on your passport, you can join any employer later after 1year (but remember dont exceed more than the last date which will be your visas end date), you need new I797(if new employer) and employer letter.
