221(g) Pink Slip H4 Stamping Chennai Dec 2008

Hello,

I got married in the last week of November 2008. I went for my H4 stamping to Chennai on December 2, 2008. The visa officer asked me a few questions regarding my marriage and then looked into my education details and told me that my case needs additional processing and gave me the pink slip 221(g). I have a MSc. in Microbiology and Mphil in Biotechnology. My husband is on a H1 visa in the US now.
It has been more than 12 weeks now, and I still have no update. If I send an Email to niv.gov, they ask me to check for updates in the case status info. If I send to sao.gov, there is no response. The case status still shows "Pending Process".

Can someone help me to know why there is a delay? and when I could expect something from the consulate?

221g pink pending since Jan'09.

--- there is nothing like experience requiered in this situation... my some cases last year get visa after 4times 221g... and they already wait morethan 6months to 8motnhs duration.. they submit all docs when VO asked and issued new 221g again and again upto 4times.... finaly they get visa and they are into USA.... yours is only first 221g!!!... so, wait and mail them if u want to know status of your process... you, me or anyone cant do any help in this process.... best luck

----- No 1.... remember this Admin process nobody will know... it's hidden process by consulate / Embassy... wait and watch or if u submitted all mentioned docs then keep sending mails to consulate people to know your application status (but dont send tons of mails)....
