Forced LOA on H1

Hi!

My wife is on H1 and just got on bench. Emplyer says he will put her on LOA and she can stay in US on LOA ( no pay) till she finds a project. He says it is perfectly allowed till one has a good reason to take LOA.

Is that true? Please help.

Illegal. You are out of status. Complain to DoL using form WH4.
