H1B Extension Query

Hi All

I have applied for my H1B Visa Extension through my current employer.

PLease let me know if I can quit my job now and join another company.If not,how long do I need to stick with my present employer

no need to stick with the old employer just because of your extension got filed.If you have new client job ready ,you can apply for transfer and satrt working for new emp as soon as you get petition nuber.
**** Make sure you have another cleint job in handy before you apply for transfer.These days they are asking RFE(evidence) for 99% applications.

If extension is pending and you apply for transfer, there is a risk of losing status if the extension is rejected if your I-94 with current employer has already expired.
