How long is valid for H1B papers?

Hi All,

Can any one pls. clarify my doubt.

I got the H1B papers in October, 2008. How long will it be valid for stamping?

Any duration is there for this stamping or we can attend within 2 or 3 yrs.

Pls. clarify me ASAP.

---- The H1 petition is valid till the last date mentioned on the petition. You can attend the visa interview any time

Assuming you are not in the US, you can apply anytime and you have to prove that you still have a job. Also, even if you don't apply, you do not need to go through the lottery again until you finish 6 years of in status stay.

If you are already in the US, you do not need stamping at all just for the sake of staying in the US for the period of your I-94.

I would like to know about the validity of H1B papers for stamping.Currently I am in India and working for an IT company. I got the H1B approval and I received the papers in October, 2008. So my doubt is how long my H1B papers valid for stamping?

Is there any time limit for these H1B papers? or can we attend any time?
