L2 with EAD and H1 query

Hi there,
I am on L2 visa(valid till April 2010) with EAD valid till Dec 2009.
Recently i got job here and my employer wants me to file H1 . I ahve few questions about the same
1) If i get my H1 approved but it's still not stamped, can i continue working on EAD ?
2) If my H1 is approved and meanwhile my spouse goes back to India(as he is on L1), can i still stay in US on L2 and continue working?
3) If my H1 is approved and my spouse is US, can i still extend my EAD?
4) How long can i continue being on L2-EAD after H1 is approved?


Please reply asap so that i proceed or dont proceed with H1 filing.

Read about COS and the sticky thread.
1. Not if it is a COS.
2. Only if his visit is temporary. If the project ends, you have to return too.
3. If it was not a COS and the spouse holds L1.
4. Zero days after the effective date of COS.
