H4 to H1. Urgent!

I am applying for my fiancee's H1 visa this April and she is planning to come here on H4 this June, right after the marriage. However, i have heard that if someone who comes to US on H4 cannot start working on H1 atleast until 12 months has passed though H1 is approved.

Can someone confirm this to me and mention any work around to it?

No such rules exist. One may need to get a H1b visa stamp after Oct 1st or file for an amendment to COS to H1b from H4.
