H1B Visa outside of US

Hi,

I am working in the US on an H1B visa as a contractor for a telecom company. I am having to travel to Canada for business purposes for 3 to 6 months. Would there be a problem with my H1B status if I stay outside of the US for this long a duration?

Please advise me if there might be any issues.
