Stamping after renewal

Hi,

Is it necessary to be visa stamped on my passport as soon as the renewal of visa(H1, H4)..if "Yes" then 1) what is the time frame, 2) can i do it in neighbouring countries like canada and mexico?
If No, why No?

It is your choice. A visa stamp is needed only if you intend to travel into US.
