Hi Guys,
I have been in US for around 6.5 years now (2 on f1, 1 on student EAD and 3.5 on H1). Everything is in order in terms of paper works except for one major thing. Last year's w2 has wages amount 7000 less than LCA amount. My employer is suggesting to go after June to reduce chances of being asked for w2. Its been 2.5 years since I have visited India and desperately need to go. How much is the risk in doing this? Is there any way I could explain the discrepancy? Lets say I get a 221g, in that case, is there anything that can be done?
For one thing, I am getting a feeling that its not worth the wait. Because if I need to completely clean, I should go next year with this year's clean w2. But in that case, I have seen cases where candidates were asked for 2 years W2s.
Its amazing how much this is bothering me. Last time I had to Mexico for stamping. that time I dont even remember if i was carrying all my tax documents and I wasnt asked a single question. Its only when you are unprepared, all soughts of fear creeps in. Currently I have a stable project and a written email from client for vacation approval.
Please pass any information that may help me.
