Hi everyone,
I am currently on H4 since June 2008 and have been admitted to a Masters program for Fall 2009. I have a few questions.
While studying on H4 (paying in-state tuition fees)
1. Would anyone have any suggestions about me going ahead and apply for RA/ TA positions, receive tuition fee waiver but not receive any monthly salary? (In other words, work voluntarily as a RA/ TA with tuition waiver?)
2. During summer, would companies and the university encourage me working voluntarily with a company and call that internship?
3. I plan to convert to F1 in the second year so that I will be eligible for OPT. When should I start the Change of State process?
