My wife is in same company in which I am working. She is in India right now. Her H1B is in process and has been initiated this year only. She is yet to receive approved petition and expecting sometime in Jul mid as per Immigration helpdesk.
My question is --> Can she go ahead and apply for new passport though this process of receive of petition is not complete (passport needs to be applied since in the first page the plastic cover has come out). Also once the new passport is done, can she apply for H4 though her individual H1 process is in progress and not completed.
Kindly let me know the answer since I am not able to decide whether it will be proper to initiate her passport and H4 when the H1 process is currently in progress.
