Dependent visa advice needed

Hi,
I am currently on H1 visa (non-profit organization i.e. cap exempt), my wife is on H4 visa (my dependent). Her H4 visa is valid till October 2010. This year I got new H1 approved (profit organization i.e. within cap), now do I need to apply for my wife’s status change (from my current employer H4 to new employer H4). Kindly suggest me the options.

Status is not attached to an employer. She is fine as long as her I-94 date has not passed. Before that happens, just apply for extension of status using I-539.
