Back to US after a long break (21 months)

I came from US, end of october 2007. I am planning to return mid of august 2009. I have my H1 valid until end september 2010. I was here as i had to take care of my ailing father. Now, my employer has asked me to travel with their offer dated may 2005. I would like to know about the questions at POE at newark.

Please help me out on the query below. Would there be any issues at POE, if am back after a long break(21 months). Is it ok if i carry my offer letter dated may 2005, or should i have to get a fresh offer ?

Better to have latest job offer letter. Ask your employer to send same letter with new date.
