Conversion of Blanket L1A to H1

I am working as a executive/manager for an IT multinational on L1A (blanket). Can a company which is into IT business in USA and has a substantial business volume can sponsor my H1 visa while I am still in US working on L1A visa for my current employer . This will eventually lead to change in employer.

They can if you qualify.
