Urgent H1-Extension, approved I-140

Honored member of Immihelp,

My 6 year of H1-B expires in Sep-09. I have an Approved I-140 through company A. Company A has laided me off and my termination date will be 18-Aug-09. I am planning to go back to India(I don't want to be out of status).
Will I be able to get an extension through company B while in India based on the approved I-140? Company A has assured that they will not revoke my I-140, Please advise as time is very short. Thanks in advance for your time.

Possible to get a 3 year extension based on the approved I140 if your PD is not current. You need a copy of the approval of the I140 for any company to pursue a h1b extension for you.
