Do I need H1B visa restamp

Hi,

I am working with company A. I have a valid H1B visa it will expire in Aug,2010.
now company A is merging with company B. Company B is applying for H1B amendment.

I am planning to India in this month. so, if I go to India Do I need to go for H1B visa stamping again?

suggestions are valued and appreciated.
