Regarding Child Birth

I am on H1B visa am just out of project now and my employer is asking me to go to india now, actually my child born in USA he is a US citizen and 1 year age,and my wife is holding Green card also please let me know is there any way that i can change my status from H1 to stay here till my wife get citizenship. please help me.

Child has nothing to do with ur status..the child can sponsor u after he/she reaches 21.

u can change to student visa.

The best will be for your wife to become a citizen by naturalization and then you can file for green-card once she is a citizen(Family-based greencard). Now you want to check if your wife is eligible to become a citizen. I think you need to be a while on GC before your wife can become a citizen.
