    Visiting USA with valid H1b that never used

    Hello all;

    I am sorry in advance if this query has been asked upon this forum before.
    I have a valid stamped H1B visa on my passport since Feb 2008. I did stamp my visa from Stockolm, Sweden consulate. I have never used it though, neither visited USA.

    I moved in Canada and would like to spent vacations in USA. My question is should I have to apply visitor (B1 visa) to enter in the USA or should my existing H1 visa(which I never used) could be enough to enter in the USA.

    I will appreciate a quick response from you all.

    You need a B1/B2. Each visa is meant for a category associated with it. Entering on H1b without working for an employer is fraud.

      You will need to apply for the B1 visa with category "Visitors" (Not Business) for vacation/tourism.
