Hi

I came to US initially on L1 visa and converted to H1B.
Is L1 duration added to H1b duration for six years?

Here is more details...

-Came to US on L1 and worked for 14 months
-Then went to India and returned after 1 year(368 days) on H1B.

Can i work on H1b for six years?

---- Yes, L1 and H1 together can only be for 6 years (L1 is added to H1)

---- As you stayed ouside US for 1 year you can continue on H1 for 6 years. However, keep all your documents like travel dates, tickets and other evidence to prove that you were out of US for 1 year
