H1- Approved, Fiance in India,Please suggest me with my tricky situation

Hello, (Please help me with many of my doubts and questions)

My H1 is approved this year. My fiance is in India and planning to come to USA on visiting visa and we are planning to get married here. My question is

1) Can we get married in USA?

2) Can we obtain a marriage certificate in that case?

3) If we both are going to India in Jan 2010 for H1 and H4 stampings respectively, will the marriage (performed in USA) be accepted at the consulate?

1. If his sole purpose of visit is for marriage, it may be questionable. If he visits for business/tourism and you guys decide to marry and he return back to the country of origin, it will be fine.
2. Yes, you need one to marry anyway. Check what the requirements are in your state. Some states require a waiting period of X days and for people to be residents of the county for X days.
3. Why not?
