L1 to H1 approval awaited-Travel to india advise

Hi,

My company has initiated my L1 to H1 conversion process. This is a premium processing and decision is due to come in this week/next week. I have urgent need to travel to India this weekend. Please suggest if this will hamper the conversion process in any sense. I plan to recieve the approval in India and get stamping done and return in 3 weeks to USA.

It will not. You just abandon the COS if you travel while it is pending but the application gets processed.
