H1 stamping

I came to US on H4 visa. I then applied for H1 and has been working for
company A for the last 2years. I do not have H1 stamping on my passport yet.
Now I have an offer from company B and my visa transfer is in process.
I'm planning to go to India for a visit before joining the new company.
Please advise,

1. If I can resign from company A, go to India and get stamping for H1
from company B. If so, will I be Out of Status during my stay in India?
Will that become a problem during visa stamping.
2. Do I need to get H1 stamping for company B before resigning from
company A.

>>>> There is no status when you leave U.S. So you won't go out of status when you are in India.

>>>> Not needed. Stamping is only a document to enter U.S. You can even travel back with Company A's visa if it hasn't expired by the time you return back to U.S.
