Visa Stamping

Hi,

Me and my wife got married in the US earlier this year. Both of us are travelling to India later this month and would need Visa stamping. I will be applying for H1B stamping and she would be applying for F1. We also would be going to different embassies (due to different residence states). Will this be a potential issue in the visa approvals? Do we have to be present during each other’s interviews? Do each of us would need copy of original copy of marriage certificate?

Should not be a problem.

As none of you are going on a dependent visa based on marriage, original marriage certificate is not required.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. One more question regarding H1B Visa application -
Form DS156 has one question (#26) as follows – “How long do you intend to stay in the US.” What is a typical answer to the question?
