  • [Help Needed] Can attorney directly submit the documents for 221(g)

    Hi All,

    Background:

    F1 visa - 2006 fall
intern - 2007 summer, reputable sw company in CA bay area.
full time - 2008 june, same cmpny
    H1B strtd - 2008 oct.

I attended for my first H1B visa stamping at Hyd consulate and the VO gave me the 221g white form asking me for current proj, org goals, invitation letter etc etc. I was a bit confused to get this since I had all the documents in place at the time of interview.

I spoke to company HR and immigration lawyer about this and the lawyer now is suggesting that he will submit all the documents to the consulate on my behalf. He is asking me all the documents from my side like my current project description, CV, previous visa details etc etc.

So, would like to know whether it is fine if he email all the documents directly to the consulate. Did anyone face similar situation? Can someone please advise me on how to proceed on this.

    Thanks All.

      Should be fine.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
