Hi,
Have the following questions:

1. Is there a minimum time limit before which I cant apply for H1 after coming to USA on L1A? If yes, what is it?
2. Can I apply for H1 myself or I need to go through a prospective employer? If I can do it myself, how much do I have to pay for it?
3. How long does the transfer take ?
4. What is the process of transfer?

There is no such time limit.

H1B is a employer's petition. Only a prospective company can sponsor your H1B.


3. How long does the transfer take ?
Normal process would take somewhere around 60-90 days. Premium process takes around 15 days.


4. What is the process of transfer?
You need to find a employer who can sponser your H1B, and then ask him to file for a change of status from L1 to H1B.

Not if you have all the required documents for the H1B.
