Dear friends,
My presnt H1B visa is expired and i have a approved petition(I-797) .I am travelling to india and will need to stamp there. I intend to take appointment for interview for 21st dec while i reach on 20th dec at Mumbai. The interview dates are not yet active on VFS website. In mumbai, we need to submit the documents advance (3 days atleast as per the website) before the date of interview. My question is once my contact in india pays the fees and gives me the HDFC receipt number, can i just print the DS156 and DS157 forms, fill, sign ,attach the photos and send to India (with one of my friend who is travelling before me) so that my contact in mumbai can submit the 2 documents along with other needed documents as soon as i take the interview date whenever the dates become active thereby avoiding any delay.
Any help or related experiences in this regard will be much helpful.
