how is the job market in US now?

how is the job market in US now especially for C++?
will it be a good idea if i travel by start of 2010?

What is the trend of offers? Do they wish to recruit only limited experience candidates or 9 to 10 years exp guys also ok for them?
I know knowledge matters at the end but just curious
