H1B stamping

I got a 221g for H1B stamping, have already submitted documents requested in 221g but since 2 weeks have got no response from consulate.

I am already on a project and my employer has started looking for a replacement

My question is can I apply H1B at another consulate, will this create an issue ?

No, you can't apply at another consulate while one is pending.

You can apply for new H1 or H1 transfer to new employer, though.
