  • Travel to India via London and Frankfurt-Possible ?

    Hi All,

I am currently on H1b in US and have booked the ticket to travel to India. But I have made a mistake of choosing the stopover. My flight is from Houston to London then to Frankfurt and then to Bangalore . Will I have any problems ? Should I talk to the airline and get one stop over in Europe instead of two. I have visa stamp in my passport with expiry date in Aug 2011.

Houston to London - Continental Airlines
    London to Frankfurt- Lufthansa
    Frankfurt to Bangalore- Lufthansa

    Thanks

At the London Heathrow Airport, Continental is in Terminal 4, then I have to go to Terminal 1 to catch Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt. is this going to be a problem ?

As long as you have a valid U.S visa stamp in your passport, you are good. You will have problem only if you transit via London and Frankfurt with an expired U.S visa.

        Thank you Shervin.

I was worried about two things, one that I am traveling via two different cities in two different countries in Europe. The second one was changing terminals in Heathrow (Continental to Lufthansa) . In Frankfurt, arrival and departure of flights is in Terminal 1.

Should not be a problem. Talk to your airlines customer care for your peace of mind.
