I would like to share my 221 g experience/ outcome.
Background: Indian with engineering experience. Back in 2004, I went through 221 g at Chennai consulate; I guess the reason was that I did R&D work for defense contractors.
Now: I applied for H4 visa (as my wife's dependent) at US consulate, London. In the application, I mentioned the fact that I was going to continue my MBA in the US on H4 visa.
Interview date: Nov 25 2009.
My file was put under 221 g.
Email from embassy asking for letter from the university and resume on Dec 01 2009.
Asked for passport on Dec 10 2009.
Visa was issued on Dec 17 2009.
Total wait: 22 days, little more than 3 weeks.
