h1h4 confusion-please help

Hereis my situation.
I came to USA thru h4 from my husband's company in 2000.my second approval notice for h4 is valid till 2006 which I've not stamped in my passport.This year,some consulting company sponsered H1B during the month of feb'04 which I've not stamped in my passport.I didnot get into their payroll nor i got any projects .Now the company is threatening to cancel my h1.

So May i know what will be my status if the company cancels my H1b?
Is my previous h4 approval notice valid?
Should I need to travel out of the country to get back to h4 status or Isit possible to change the status back to h4 here in USA itself

I would greatly appreciate any of your input.

dont worry your h4 status is still valid upto 2006 there is no affect regarding the cancellation of h1b .

Thanks, I changed my status from h4 to h1.But still is my h4 valid?In case,the company cancels my h1
