How important is the serial number on the interview appointment page?

I will be going for my H1b stamping at the Chennai consulate. I have an F1 visa stamp on my passport. This is my first H1b stamping. I have an H1b petition approved and have been working in US with my employer for about a year.

I plan to take my parents with me for their B1 visitor visa.(I am sponsoring their US trip) Luckily/unluckily we all got the interview appointment in the same time slot, with my dad's serial no as 27 followed by my mom’s (28) and finally my serial no (29).

(i) Does the serial number matter at all? If not should I go ahead and attend my interview first?
(ii) will this scenario affect our visa stamping?
(iii) any other advices?
